Youth Ministry

The Youth ministry at Southpark is flourishing. The youth group participates in many activities throughout the year.

Winter Retreat- A weekend retreat to Falls Creek to connect with God through the midst of the stress of school.

Super Summer- A leadership camp at Oklahoma Baptist University for students to challenge their faith from college students and youth pastors from around the state.

Falls Creek- A week at the Creek! Students are encouraged to bring a friend to camp. At Falls Creek students are able to learn about God and have fun through recreation activities.

Southpark Baptist Church

We consider your child (ren) a special gift from God and are committed to provide a loving, secure environment where he/she can learn and grow. We want to help you lay a strong spiritual foundation for your child’s life and provide a variety of activities and opportunities for this to happen.

Sundays - 9:30 am Sunday School for all ages

                   10:45am       ETC (Extended Teaching Care) for Babies to 4’s
   4:00pm       Puppet practice – The puppets perform the second Sunday of
   each month duringSunday School.

Wednesday 6:30 pm Mission Friends - a mission education program for kids
Kindergarten and younger.

                                      Royal Ambassadors - a Bible-centered, church-based,
   Southern Baptist mission education program for
   boys in grades 1-6.

Girls in Action - a mission education program for girls in
grades 1 – 6.

Special Activities – Many special activities and events are scheduled throughout the year and announced in church publications. Some of the events are Fall Festival, Christmas Party and Vacation Bible School to name a few.

Music Ministry

The music ministry at Southpark Baptist Church has a place for you. There are a number of opportunities for you to be involved.

Adult Choir- The adult choir helps lead in worship on Sunday mornings and also performs specials two or three times a month. The adult choir meets on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 pm in the choir room.

Orchestra- The orchestra is a group of musicians that help lead in worship a few times a month and help accompany the choir on their songs if there is orchestration with it. The orchestra meets on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:25 pm in the sanctuary.

Handbell Choir- The handbell choir provides special music once a quarter during the school year. The handbell choir plays handbells to create music and will start meeting in August.

Children’s Choir- The children’s choir provides music once a quarter and also puts on a program once a year. Children’s choir is for children in Pre-K-6th grade. Children’s choir will start up again in August when school starts.

Resonate!- Resonate is a camp that is setup for high school students to come and learn about worship and helping to prepare them to lead worship in a variety of aspects. Drama, voice, guitar, piano, worship song writing, and other things are all things that students can take part in at camp. The camp is held at OBU in July.
